A collection of projects I’ve shot in the last two years.

My name is Kernius and I am a cinematographer.

Since the first time I took the camera in my hands, I started seeing the world through the lens. I’ve enjoyed taking pictures of people, landscapes, and details painted by the light. It all began in high school and improved while studying Computer Science for my bachelor’s.

I took most of my studies and not only academics. I was a member of student associations, participated in European projects, and had a part-time job in the greenest basketball club in Europe! All this was related to shooting interviews, short films, commercials, and more. I have gained a lot of experience with camera use, but there is always something to learn.

The best work is achieved when you’re passionate in what you do

My efforts to become a professional started at the European Film College in Denmark in the year of 2018. I took a cinematographer’s path there. It has been an amazing time studying, making short films, and living together with 120 creatives from all around the world.

Later on, I worked myself up in Sweden. Have worked on various TV shows as an assistant in camera departments. Including high-budget Warner Bros production, and Swedish national TV. The final project before the pandemic has been the most challenging and exciting since I operated a B camera for the whole TV show funded by SVT.

Operating camera requires a lot of prep time. When everything works as intended during the production phase, that makes me happy!

At Wide Wings, I collaborated closely with scriptwriters, directors, and fellow crew members, crafting compelling storylines and bringing them to life through cinematography, and creating impactful video ads for social media and television.

A very challenging project as it had a fast project turnaround. Luckily the production went really smoothly due to good synergy in the crew.

Filming healthy break/beauty break TV commercials

My latest career drift has been to Australia, Melbourne. I worked as a video content creator for a well-known athlete performance company ‘Athletes Authority’ and one of the biggest gym equipment providers ‘Iron Edge’. There I’ve been promoting their services by capturing athletes’ testimonials, filming educational courses, showing off gym fit-outs, and making short-form ads for Instagram marketing.

Moreover, I had a monthly contract as a 2nd camera assistant, working for the Chemist Warehouse brand.
